I took a trip along the recently opened 2.5 mile National Cycle Track. It starts at the bottom of Cottage Lane, zig zags around the fields and exits onto Holme Road. Its an excellent cycle track, ideal for walkers and is even electric wheelchair friendly.

Take care when crossing the Langford Quarry access road and watch out for the lorries. It took me an hour in my electric wheelchair to reach the Holme Road exit, but I was in no hurry and enjoyed the peaceful countryside. The only thing that spoilt it were 2 youths racing along on a moped, which are banned from the track.
